It gladdens my heart to welcome you to this episode of the weekly sermon on Celestial Church Blog. I pray for that His grace will continually abide with us.
The text for the week is Colossians 1 verses 12-23. The topic is "The Supremacy of Christ." The text presents a good record at the status, effort, authority, source and many more identity of Jesus Christ.
The letter of Apostle Paul to the faithful brothers in Christ at Colosse was to emphatically present the supremacy of Christ to them. The supremacy of Christ is now a popular phenomenon globally.
A careful study of the activities of Christ's disciples (the Apostles) after His ascension confirms two major activities that made His supremacy popular.
The first was the sound teaching of the gospel of Christ and Christ Himself.
The second was the work of miracle in His (Christ) name.
Of the truth brethren, we have the responsibility of maintaining these major activities and most importantly presenting them to the gentiles. Acts 20:24, Romans 1:1, Colossian 1:23, Mark 9:39, John 3:2, 1 Corinthinian 12:10, John 2:11
