In what is seen as a way to ensure discipline in the Church, the Celestial Church of Christ Unification Committee, has proposed a Code of Conduct in the draft constitution of the Church, for all Shepherds and Church Workers.

CODE OF CONDUCT FOR ALL SHEPHERDS AND CHURCH WORKERS
1. All shepherds and church workers are regarded as an embodiment of our Lord Jesus Christ and are expected to be good ambassadors of the church and its leadership.

2. They are expected to be of good morals and promoters of truth, fairness, equity & justice. They are expected to be shining example to the flock.

3. Any act of disloyalty to the leadership of the church shall be met with necessary disciplinary action.

4. Any act of immoral offence such as adultery, fornication, rape, fraud, murder in any manner and disobedience to constituted authority shall lead to necessary disciplinary measure.

5. Improper dressing of any shepherd, abandoning of duty post without the consent of the church leadership shall lead to necessary disciplinary action.

6. All shepherds/workers are entitled to a maximum of four years at any duty post except otherwise reviewed by the church leadership.

7. Posting/transfer of all shepherds/workers shall be at the discretion of the church leadership, through the standing committee on posting of Shepherds.

8. No shepherd has the authority to effect posting/transfer of any one without the consent of the church leadership, which must be documented for record purposes.

9. No shepherd has the authority to promote or demote anyone. Authority to promote, demote or transfer belongs only to the church leadership.

10. Shepherds. Church workers are expected to strive for excellence in all they do, to cooperate respectfully with colleagues and subordinates and to submit themselves to the authority and control of the Holy Spirit.

11. All shepherds must endeavor to attend all meetings of the council as directed by the church leadership.

12. All shepherds are expected to remit all stipulated financial dues to their Districts, States & the Nigeria Dioceses as at when due and with the fear of God in mind.

13. Monthly report of Church/Parish/District/State activities must be reported/ submitted to the church through appropriate channels of communication.

Please note that any breach of the above stated guideline shall be referred to the constituted authority of the church for necessary disciplinary action which may include suspension, expulsion, withdrawal from duty post and in criminal cases, the country’s law may be allowed to take its course.
